Binance Introduces Caldera to HODLer Airdrops Program

The world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, Binance, has unveiled an exciting new airdrop for a fresh Ethereum (ETH)-based altcoin known as Caldera (ERA). This announcement marks the addition of Caldera as the 27th project featured in Binance’s HODLer Airdrops initiative.

What is Caldera?

Caldera describes itself as “the internet of rollups,” aiming to create a network of modular, interconnected, and customizable blockchain solutions. The platform is designed to facilitate the development of Ethereum-based layer-2 scaling solutions, enhancing the overall efficiency of the Ethereum blockchain.

HODLer Airdrops Program Explained

Launched in 2024, the HODLer Airdrops program rewards BNB holders—Binance’s native cryptocurrency—with various crypto assets based on historical snapshots of their account balances. This initiative encourages long-term investment and engagement within the Binance ecosystem.

Features of Caldera’s Metalayer

Caldera’s innovative metalayer enables developers to create interoperable rollups with ease. This system allows for batch processing of transactions offline, streamlining operations on the Ethereum blockchain. The metalayer comprises three key components:

1. Execution Layer: This layer facilitates the bridging of chains from Ethereum to Caldera.
2. Settlement Layer: It enables rapid message exchanges between different chains, ensuring swift communication.
3. Development Kit: This toolkit provides developers with essential resources for building interoperable applications.

Caldera emphasizes that developers can focus on creating exceptional products without being constrained by outdated architectures, benefiting from improved transaction speeds, reduced costs, and enhanced security as the metalayer evolves.
