The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has teamed up with CelcomDigi to unveil IMMERSE KL x CelcomDigi, marking Malaysia’s premier event dedicated to immersive technology and innovative creative content.
Evolution of IMMERSE KL
Originally launched in 2019 as part of the Malaysia Digital Content Festival (MYDCF), IMMERSE KL has evolved from a series of digital content events initiated by MDEC since 2014. While LevelUP KL will continue as a standalone event in October, IMMERSE KL has now become a flagship initiative focusing on the intersection of digital content creation, immersive technology (AR/VR), and Web3. MDEC aims to position Malaysia as a leader in digital innovation and a hub for content development.
Event Theme and Objectives
With the theme “Dive into the Future: Envisioning Creative Tech and the metaverse,” the event underscores Malaysia’s dedication to advancing immersive solutions across various sectors, including XR, virtual production, gamification, and Web3. The goal is to foster the adoption of emerging technologies across different industries.
