Ripple and Tenity Unveil XRPL Accelerator to Propel Singapore’s Blockchain

Ripple and Tenity Launch XRPL Accelerator to Enhance blockchain Innovation in Singapore
Ripple and Tenity Collaborate to Foster blockchain Startups
Ripple, a prominent player in the blockchain and cryptocurrency sector, is making significant strides to nurture blockchain talent in Asia. The company has partnered with Tenity, a renowned global fintech incubator, to introduce the XRPL Accelerator, aimed at supporting emerging startups in developing on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). This initiative was announced via Ripple’s official X account, underscoring the importance of this venture in Ripple’s global strategy.
Grants and Mentorship for Emerging Startups
This initiative comes at a time when Singapore is solidifying its position as a leading global hub for blockchain innovation. In 2024, the local blockchain sector attracted approximately $750 million in investments, accounting for around 60% of the total fintech investments in the region. With over 300 blockchain and cryptocurrency firms operating in Singapore, the city is becoming a launchpad for innovative ideas that have the potential to reach a global audience.
The XRPL Accelerator is set to launch in September 2025 and will operate biannually, welcoming startups and even larger enterprises interested in exploring blockchain solutions. The program will focus on key areas such as the tokenization of real-world assets, decentralized finance (DeFi) for institutions, and the integration of artificial intelligence with blockchain technology. Participants will have the opportunity to develop ideas that could revolutionize various industries through technological experimentation.
Singapore’s blockchain Landscape and Future Prospects
Startups entering the XRPL Accelerator will receive substantial support, including non-equity funding of up to $200,000 from Ripple and Tenity. This funding model allows startups to maintain full ownership of their innovations. In addition to financial backing, participants will benefit from mentorship provided by industry experts and access to Ripple’s extensive network of global investors and partners.
Fiona Murray, the Asia-Pacific Managing Director of Ripple, emphasizes that this initiative aims to cultivate a new generation of blockchain professionals. She believes Singapore is the ideal location for this program due to its commitment to digital innovation and progressive outlook. The accelerator has the potential to unlock significant opportunities within the XRPL, delivering tangible benefits to businesses and individuals across Asia.
Government officials in Singapore share this vision. Philbert Gomez, Senior Vice President and Executive Director of Digital Industry Singapore, highlights the importance of creating an environment conducive to responsible innovation. He views accelerators like the XRPL Accelerator as vital resources for startups, providing them with the necessary tools, expertise, and connections to transform innovative blockchain concepts into compliant, real-world solutions.
This new program marks the continuation of a fruitful collaboration between Ripple and Tenity. Jonas Thurig, Managing Partner at Tenity, describes the accelerator as more than just a startup boot camp; it serves as a launching pad for ambitious ideas that can reshape the financial landscape, enhance accessibility to real-world assets, and explore the synergies between AI and blockchain technology.
